Virtual Points are virtual points which contain the combination of one or more physical or virtual points.  Since virtual points may contain other virtual points, the recursive nature can become complicated to determine which actual physical points are being included in the point, and the Virtual Point Report is available to confirm that it is as you desire.  See Understanding Virtual Points for real time examples on how they work.
